Tune in to NBC Sports Network tonight and NBC tomorrow to watch The Face judge Coco Rocha kill it as fashion correspondent for the Kentucky Derby. Click inside for details, and to get a peek of the Zac Posen gowns she might be sporting at the high-fashion event.
With big hats and bright colors, the Kentucky Derby is always a fashionable affair. In fact, the styles at Churchill Downs seem to generate about as much buzz (or, at least gawking) as the race horses. This year, NBC Sports has tapped style icon Coco Rocha to break down the fashions. Fresh off her role as a supermodel coach on The Face, we imagine her powers of appraisal have never been sharper.
Even though The Face has ended and Devyn was crowned the winner, that doesn't mean the fun stops. Oh, hellz no, because we still have the Google+ Hangout with three of the final four, Devyn, Margaux and Ebony (Zi Lin was out at the club, seriously, she was!). So watch the fun above and just to recap, here are the top five mindblowing things we learned about the girls.
Ah, the fun we’ve had this season! The dreams of eight aspiring models have already been crushed as we find ourselves down to a measly four remaining competitors who will duke it out to become the Face of Ulta Cosmetics.
Congratulations, Devyn! The Team Karolina member is officially The Face, but then you've been talking about that all night, right? Well, the very busy mom and face of ULTA Beauty took the time to answer some burning questions, to dish on her biggest competitor, and to question Nigel and Karolina's decision during that quick change challenge. Read on for the dirt!
We saved the ultimate sneak peek for last and if this doesn't make you want to watch The Facefinale, well I don't know what will, honestly. So sit back, buckle your seatbelts and watch Karolina, Coco and Naomi show you how.it's.done. on the runway. Werk, ladies! Each of the coaches is wearing a drop dead gorgeous Zac Posen gown that fits their personalities as well as their flawless figures. Which dress do you like best? Vote in our poll!
At this point, you shouldn't need an official Zac Posen primer, right? A refresher: The three model coaches walked in the fashion designer's Spring 2013 show in The Face casting special and Coco thinks he's the perfect date. So we figured we'd take this primer oppportunity to give you a teaser instead. His stunning designs are going to be featured somehow in tomorrow night's finale, so let's take a look at 10 spectactular gowns he sent down the runway in February—one of which was worn by Coco, who closed out his Fall 2013 show. (Fun fact: Guest star Pat Cleveland's daughter Anna modeled in the show!)
Naomi dished to US Weekly about 25 things we probably don't know about her. Well, from her stellar wardrobe on "The Face," we can pretty much glean that her favorite designers include Azzedine Alaia, Zac Posen and Dolce and Gabbana (number 10). But did you know that she sang back-up on the Vanilla Ice chestnut, "Cool as Ice" (number 6)? Read here for the 23 other Naomi tidbits and click through to watch the full 1991 video. It's amazing.
The stars of "The Face" are seriously dedicated to their new show—and to fashion. Even though the big premiere was on Tuesday (still tired!), Nigel, Coco, Karolina and Naomi still made an effort to hit New York Fashion Week. They were spotted front row, backstage, on the runway and even riding a tricked out bus (more on that in a bit). One coach even brought her newbie team member to a show. So to close out NYFW and say "game on" to London, Paris and Milan, let's check out the "The Face" Stars' Top NYFW Moments.
So it wasn't a big surprise that Coco Rocha was walking in good friend and "The Face" guest star Zac Posen's Fall 2013 runway show (she's a regular, plus she let it slip early). But we're never not blown away when she's out there doing her "day job," especially when she's closing out one of Fashion Week's most sought-after shows. The balcony overlooking the Terrace Room at the iconic Plaza was the perfect spot to hold the stunning, star-studded show. Let's look at some full-length pics, plus a video, courtesy of Vogue.
