You may have seen the finished product of "The Face" promo shoot (videos here), but you haven't seen the behind-the-scenes pics. And it would be a shame to deprive you any longer as "The Face" -- starring Naomi Campbell, Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova and Nigel Barker -- has arguably one of the best-looking crews (and wardrobes!) ever assembled for television.
Oxygen is now airing the first-ever promos for its modeling competition show "The Face," which premieres this Feb. These promos don't spoil major plot lines, but they provide enough juicy nuggets of action to make any warm-blooded mammal crave more. Let's review what's already known: "The Face," hosted by model expert Nigel Barker, stars Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha as supermodel coaches who mentor up-and-comers -- one of whom will become "the face" of ULTA Beauty. Now let's see what new details we can gather.
As you may have read, Oxygen's “The Face” is similar to “The Voice” in that superstars in their fields (in this case, supermodels) mentor up-and-comers. Judging by these spontaneous snapshots of Karolina Kurkova, it's clear that Team Kurkova is learning from one of modeling's finest. Because... who else can turn crossing a random, back water street into a moment worthy of a style magazine spread?
Here are Karolina's 5 easy steps to being a supermodel:
Last week, Naomi Campbell was seen wearing an Azzedine Alaia outfit. As you may recall, Alaia has been a father figure to Naomi for decades and has dressed A-listers from Madonna to Michelle Obama. "The Face's" stylistPatti Wilson keeps with the theme in episode 2 by dressing Naomi head-to-toe in an all-Alaia black outfit, including super high-heel booties, laced elbow-high gloves, an over-sized belt, and a very, very brave bodysuit.
I've had the chance to spend time on the set of "The Face," which is coming soon to Oxygen. There’s not a lot I can reveal right now, except it’s like “America’s Next Top Model” meets "The Voice" and is hosted by Nigel Barker. Thankfully, however, I can spoil all in regard to the show's clothes and accessories. And I’m happy to say "The Face" is no ordinary reality show when it comes to the wardrobe department. Let us get to the nitty gritty, starting with Naomi Campbell.
