Twenty-one-year-old Devyn Abdullah beat out 12 other hopeful models and thousands of potential competitors to be crowned winner ofThe Face... but this wasn't her only obstacle. Born in the Bronx, Devyn was 19 and fresh out of high school when she became pregnant with her daughter-- but she didn't let motherhood stop her from following her dream to become a model. Instead, she embraced her role as Mommy and serves as an inspiration to other moms with ambitious career goals. Click inside to see how Devyn's life has changed since we last saw her on camera.
Hey, you know that Naomi Campbell always makes a grand entrance, right? So may we present the Queen of the Runway's Fill-in-the-Blanks recap of The Face finale—fashionably late, of course. Team Naomi was thisclose to the crown with Zi Lin on the final runway challenge, but the official win still went to Team Karolina's Devyn. Let's give Ms. Campbell the last word.
Even though The Face has ended and Devyn was crowned the winner, that doesn't mean the fun stops. Oh, hellz no, because we still have the Google+ Hangout with three of the final four, Devyn, Margaux and Ebony (Zi Lin was out at the club, seriously, she was!). So watch the fun above and just to recap, here are the top five mindblowing things we learned about the girls.
Ah, the fun we’ve had this season! The dreams of eight aspiring models have already been crushed as we find ourselves down to a measly four remaining competitors who will duke it out to become the Face of Ulta Cosmetics.
Congratulations, Devyn! The Team Karolina member is officially The Face, but then you've been talking about that all night, right? Well, the very busy mom and face of ULTA Beauty took the time to answer some burning questions, to dish on her biggest competitor, and to question Nigel and Karolina's decision during that quick change challenge. Read on for the dirt!
Team Karolina member and mother of two Ebony made it to the final four and the finale of The Face, but didn’t make it to the runway challenge. Along the way, she made her mark by dancing her way to an individual challenge win and being half of the only team that actually worked together. It was hard to say goodbye to Ebony before the final decision, but we did catch up with her recently for an exit chat. And she has some exciting news to share!
Team Coco’s Margaux put up with a lot this season (ahem, Naomi, Jocelyn and teammate Stephanie), but in the end, she’s the one who made it to the final three of The Face. Although, the title eventually went to Team Karolina’s Devyn, it sounds like Margaux’s career is anything but plateauing. (Who caught that Virgin Mobile commercial that aired during the show?!). Let’s hear her tell us what’s what in her own words.
While Team Coco went 0-7 during the season of The Face, the protective coach and her team members really did capture the hearts of the fans. After overcoming doubters and obstacles, Margaux made it to the final runway challenge (and looked amazing in Zac Posen), but the final win went to Team Karolina’s Devyn. Here’s what Coco had to say about the final decision:
Seven episodes, 12 contestants and 12 challenges later, The Face has wrapped and, yes, we have one more round of Fill-in-the-Blanks to play. First up, Nigel Barker weighs in. It’s been real, Nige!
