As with most socially-inclined and designer-outfitted supermodels, it's pretty hard to narrow down their top red carpet looks at year-end. So with Karolina Kurkova, we'll just have to pick out a few highlights as a sampling of how she kills it each time she hits a high-profile event. But, of course, we're not the only ones talking about her stunningly daring gold sequin turban-dress combo she wore to the Met Ball this year—more on that in a few.
While KK wore this captivating asymetric waist gown from Carlos Miele's Spring 2013 collection to the Prix Montblanc in Berlin this past October, the dress has probably made every fashion-conscious bride-to-be's list for next year. The diaphanous layers and romantic draping temper the almost-sexiness peek-a-boo front cut-out and slashed-silk back.

Walking the red carpet at the 2012 New York City Ballet Fall Gala Honoring Valentino Garavani, Karolina wore—appropriately—Valentino Couture, designed by the current Valentino creative directors, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri. The accordion pleated cape and gown combo features subtle, but distinct details of tones-of panels and sheer cut-outs.

Attending the premiere of the Brad Pitt-starring (and underperforming) "Killing Me Softly" at the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival, the supermodel went glam-goth in a paillette covered Roberto Cavalli halter-gown and moody dark blackberry lips and nails. Yum.

Hitting the annual Met Gala (officially known this year as "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" Costume Institute Gala or unofficially known as "Fashion Prom"), Karolina attended with Rachel Zoe, while wearing the stylist/designer's body-conscious gilded gold gown with matching turban. Hey, if anyone is going to be risky and do it right, it's the team effort of KK and Rachel. People are still buzzing about this sensational look.
